I was able to take money out of my IRA to invest into this project, ultimately adding $7,000 to the startup funds! So, out of the $70,000 that we need to get this baby off the ground with all the bells and whistles (showers, smoothies, etc), we have $16,000 - getting closer! And for those of you that might be wondering - why not just start without the showers? - great question! The answer is that to put in the showers, the contractors are going to have to get into the concert subfloor, and at least one wall - that means a long, messy project, that will require us to close for at least a month - maybe more. That’s a month that you - our clients - will miss their workouts, their childcare, their smoothies and delicious snacks. In addition, it’s time that I want to be paying my instructors for - they have families to take care of too - and it’ll be a challenge to do so while also paying for renovations and rent without any income coming in. So, while it does mean a lot more up front costs, in the long run it’ll be better for everyone if we can get this going now! Click on the link below if you want to chip in! Thanks y’all!
